Senior Gift of Sustainability

What do these 3 images have in common?
Air Compressors.
One of the best gifts any Senior Class could give to their school, is a greener way to do things.
Airbrushing is the Way Forward.

There are zillions of projects going on in any High School, that require the use of Aerosol Spray Paint:
Pep Rallies, Dances, Floats, Automotive and Construction,Theater Sets and Special Effects Makeup,  Art classes and Ceramic glazing, Restoring/Remodeling Rooms and Furniture, ad nauseum.

But spray paint is a known hazard.  It creates Hazardous Emissions, Hazardous Waste, and gives too many opportunities for School-Sponsored Huffing.
When you do Airbrushing with compressors, your propellant is plain old air Disposal isn't an issue, since you simply clean the container and tubing.  Huffing is cut way down, since the only solvents used are for enamel paints.

I suggest YOUR senior class look into providing Airbrush set ups and Air compressors for every department.
If that's impossibly expensive, consider giving several (with 2 copies of the manual) to your media center.
They can be checked out based on which media will be used:
*Cake/food decorating, *Body art/makeup,*Dyes and Inks, *Ceramic glazes * Latex paints, *Enamel paints, etc

There are many places you can find Airbrush Parts, Paints, and Air Compressors.  My personal favorite is the Badger Airbrush Company.

The thing about most Senior gifts is, it's gratitude for the past, but it's really about the future.
You're going to be changing the world anyway, right?
Start by showing the next classes a better alternative to
"the way we've always done it."
