New Website!!

I finally figured out that many people who want my silly "doodlebug" designs are generally not the same folks who want my original art works.  So I've split my sites.
The original silly site is listed to the right of this blog, in "and there's more!".

Click Here for my new Originals site.
and
Click Here to see prints and cards of the originals.
Pass it on, Thanks!

Senior Gift of Sustainability

What do these 3 images have in common?
Air Compressors.
One of the best gifts any Senior Class could give to their school, is a greener way to do things.
Airbrushing is the Way Forward.

The Blogs That Didn't Make It.

It's time to give up all those great ideas from last year, to make room for the great ideas next year.  Here is a rundown on the blogs that never happened.
May you have a Very Happy New Year, full of great ideas!

3 Impossible Things Before Breakfast

Like Alice, I occasionally do this little exercise first thing in the morning.

The First Thing was believing corporate America will flock to my zazzle site, so they can upgrade their work image.

The second thing was that home made tacos are America's  healthiest breakfast.

Christmas Now?

Instead of going to the movies like I'd planned tonight,
I ended up taking home a pre-lit Christmas tree from Walgreens.
And set it up, TONIGHT, on top of the costumes and leftover Halloween candy.
Why?  On November 2nd??

Olives, October, and Arizona Harvest Time

It's 98 degrees today, but no one seems to mind. A cold October here means you have to wear a sweater with your Halloween costume.
It's one of the reasons we live here.  And as I was designing gift packaging for the holidays, I couldn't help but notice the olive tree is loaded with free gourmet treats for the picking...if anyone was willing to go to the trouble!

The Ultimate Airmail Stocking Stuffer

O.M.G.!  Have you tried this stuff yet?
Starbucks new "Via"   micro-powdered coffee.  The flavor is Amazing!  I truly resented the cat wanting dinner in the middle of my "Starbucks Experience" tonight.  Obviously she didn't realize I was on another plane of existence with this coffee.
At less than 1/10th of an ounce each, you can load a letter or card envelope full of these little beauties,  and make friends around the world!

Mailing International: Homemade Gifts

What gift is Small, Light, and Fits in an Envelope?

(the obvious "gift card" answer is the last choice, at the end of this post)

Handmade gifts are actually one of the best things to send by International post.
*Their dollar value is low, so your recipient doesn't usually have to pay customs fees.
*Many countries exempt handmade gifts from customs and duty fees altogether.
*They pack alot of love into a small space

So I'm brainstorming how to send artist-type gifts in as small a package as possible:  The Envelope.

Mailing International: "Indestructible Cookies"

What gift is small, light, + fits in an envelope?
(hint: if you said "Gift Card", you'll have to see my next post)

Sending cookies to my family is a very Global affair. It costs a small fortune to send tins to four different continents, so this year I want to try Sending Cookies In Envelopes!

How To Use Art to Celebrate Life

allllllll those years designing toys, paperdolls, packaging and presents for my own kids - as well as for friends, neighbors and family-
just finally spilled out my ears and down my blog. On these pages, you'll find probably too much information on ...
"How To Party"

"How to do a Fishy-Fish Party"
"How to use Broken Candy Canes"
"How to make Torn Christmas Wrap into a Wedding Gown"
"How to create a Blacklight Party with Tide Detergent"

it's your own fault, you know.
If you hadn't been so inquisitive and creative yourself, you'd never have found me!
