Totally Chuffed!

Glancing through my Facebook news feed today, I was excited to find this:

Dharma Trading featured one of my tutorials!  Being Halloween and all, it's kind of nice when my PAST comes back to haunt me!

Rebranding

"Branding" is a word that I still associate with cattle.

We all know we're talking about public image, but IMO the term has gotten passe.

Today, however, I find myself having to do exactly that:

"Re-Branding" 

because I don't look like I go with my art!

The Penultimate Stage

I love that word: "Penultimate".
Like waking up on December 23rd, when you know the Big Day is close:  it's the light at the end of a rather long tunnel.
Funny thing is, though, the first metallic assembly is where the biggest changes happen.
It's where the work starts to become what it wants, not exactly what I thought it would be.

Sweet Grapes

You know that Aesop's Fable about the Fox wanting the grapes, but he couldn't reach them?  When he decided
"They're probably sour anyway!"
 he gave all future generations a very useful phrase. The term "Sour Grapes" comforts us in uncomfortable situations. It's especially appropo for sitcom floods at midnight.

The Right Earrings for a Meteor Shower.

Stumbling around at 4:30 this morning, I grabbed everything I'd need for a hasty Meteor shower date:  Jeans, flip-flips, coffee, wallet, etc. It cost me me almost a minute of fumbling before I realized I had no appropriate earrings.

Fair Treasures
